FAQ
Can't I just use a fan I already have at home? I think I could build them by myself.
Sure, just remember to use the right speed for your temperature or you will miss your comfort goal and the right efficiency.
If you are into DIY, we suggest you to contact us and purchase our patented electronic board.
In addition to the radiators, I already have a stove and a fireplace. It's very hot in my house, so why would I need a device like ecowind?
If you own radiators, you are already losing money due to its inherent inefficiency. Probably with some devices in the most strategic positions you might find that you can turn off the stove and fireplace or at least one of the two. You would reduce your wood supply and create a more thermally welcoming environment.
Do I have to install it with the help of a technician?
Absolutely not, the device can be positioned and turned on without anyone's help. Simply plug it in and it will do everything.
Can I use ecowind if I have thermostatic valves installed on the radiators?
Of course.
Traditional thermostatic valves regulate the flow of hot water based on the room temperature.
Perhaps, the savings obtained cannot compare with those obtained thanks to Ecowind. Simply, the functioning of one system does not affect the functioning of the other in any way.
If I don't have thermostatic valves, do I still need to install them?
It's your choice. Ecowind works automatically and in total autonomy. In itself, it does not require any additional tools.
Can I use Ecowind if I have radiators connected to a heat pump?
If you have a heat pump, our device will not be able to make you more efficient and will not help you save money.
However, you will enjoy another advantage.
The heat pump works very well only with underfloor systems. Those who have connected it to radiators (but also to convector heaters) have very often discovered that they are unable to heat up adequately.
In this case, Ecowind positioned under the radiators will allow you to gain a few degrees of temperature without having to add stoves or fireplaces.
If I use ecowind, can I avoid spending on insulating my home?
If you believe there are leaks in your home, it is a critical issue that, sooner or later, you will want and need to resolve. Ecowind can potentially allow significant savings but this does not mean that it absolves us from our responsibility to make our home increasingly energy efficient.
In short, ecowind is a kit to transform my radiators into convector heaters. Wouldn't it be better to invest more money to change all my radiators and install convector heaters directly?
Paradoxically no. Unfortunately, convector heaters are built to cost as little as possible and the exchange surface is very small (if you have the opportunity, dismantle one to check it yourself). Radiators, on the other hand, have a larger exchange surface to exploit.
Do I have to put a device under each radiator?
It would be the right choice. However, it is also possible to decide to place the devices only under some radiators. In that case you will perceive a slight increase in temperature only in some rooms.
